My deepest sympathy goes out to the friends and family of this young man. I was floating that day on the river with a group of friends whenever this tragedy happened. Our good friend, who is a first responder fireman, was one of the many that went to Tyler’s aid. Our hearts are heavy today as we learn of his passing into Heaven. From Illinois, we send love and hugs to you all. May God wrap his arms around you all and give you strength to get through this trying time. God Bless.
Stacey Wierman

With deepest sympathy. Jen — you are in my thoughts as you find your way through this difficult time. I’m unable to be with you at Tyler’s service, but I will be thinking of you as you honor the life of your love.
Lindsay Martin

I am heartbroken to learn that Tyler passed on Monday. I was one of the folks who ran to the scene after seeing a few people running down the shore shouting for someone who had a phone to call 911. I did what little I could to manage the scene and get people away, to quiet everyone down and calm those who were understandably distraught. I was hoping with all of my heart that he would be okay. Sadly, that wasn’t what happened. I hope my prayers and condolences can carve even the smallest gap in your grief.
Trevor K

Tyler and I have spent more time together in the last eight years than I have with my own family. And I want to say I had come to think of him as another member of my family. I want all to know there is not a more caring , thoughtful young man around. I cannot find words to say how badly he will be missed! You all are in our prayers.Tyler always brought a ray of light in a room when he entered, a true class act. Never was there a job too big or a person too small, his light shined on alot of people over the years. Please know Tyler was loved by many who had a chance to know who he was! Be proud he is your Tyler!
Steve Roberson

Jennifer, I am deeply sorry for the loss of your husband Tyler. He was my student in high school, and I best remember him as an independent thinker. I appreciated that as there was never a boring conversation with Tyler. His favorite class with me was creative writing; he shared much that year, which helped me get to know him. We often do not understand why we have to lose those dearest to us, yet I know God can and will provide you with the comfort you need every day, especially in the days ahead. Again, I extend my sympathy for your loss. God bless you.

My condolences to the family. Bob was a good worker and a great “operator” at Ford Motor Company. He did not only drive a forklift — he operated it. He was a valued employee. He shall be missed, but not forgotton.

I will miss Bobert dearly every day. Bobert was my almost brother-in-law, or as he referred us, the outlaws instead of in laws 🙂 We rode many miles together whether it was on the bikes or in a vehicle. Bobert taught me how to bowl so I could get a higher score than 80! I wouldn’t have known the fun of trout fishing had it not been for Bobert teaching me the proper techniques about trout fishing, and I will continue to enjoy it and think of Bobert with every cast. So Bobert I’m sure heaven has great fishing and always hook lunkers. I love you and will always have you in my heart.
