Condolences

I knew Ben, Bev’s son, when he and I worked at Commerce Bank in August of 1999. Much later, after Ben and I both left in September of 2002, I had the opportunity to meet Bev. She was still full of life and fire than most people I know. I, many times, felt as if I had known her for much longer. There were many discussing and cussing conversations. Not vulgar – Just plain conversation. Frank, I suppose.
Later, Bev, Ben, Lisa, Fred, and Elizabeth made several vacations to Florida’s Orlando, home of Disney World. These vacations were often made in January. Bev always was glad to return, and many times, Bev was in a much better mood. She allowed me to stay in her house so as to take care of the animals (At that time Treasure, the last known descendant of Midnight Sun, at 38 and still standing, four Geldings and three Mares, 13 head of Black Angus cattle, four German Shepherd Dogs, and three Persian Cats), I ensured both homes remained standing. And Bev and Ben would pay me reasonably.
May she rest in God’s Peace.

Condolences

Kenneth was my uncle. He was the youngest of 10 children. My Mother, Winifred Wilson Pentecost, was the only girl. I think my mom was around 15 when Kenneth was born.
As we were both retired we had the time to keep in touch with each other. We enjoyed talking about his life and plans for his future, as well as the “good old times”. He particularly enjoyed talking about the music group he worked with & I think that may have been where he got his nickname “The Flatlander”. We could be on the phone for a long time until Uncle got another call & ended the call, with the words “see you down the road!” We enjoyed each other a lot.
I will certainly miss him and our calls. Please accept our condolences for your loss. Another great cowboy has riden into the sunset. Unfortunately, we are unable to be there to say our goodbyes at the services.
