Codie Devland Harris, 51 years of age, passed away in his home surrounded by friends and family on January 7, 2019. Codie passed away after three hard fought years battling liver and colon cancer.

Codie’s life began June 1, 1966 in North Kansas City, Mo., to parents Lydia and Clint Harris. He was a husband to wife, Sonetta, and father to his five children, Chris, Amber, Thia (husband Nick), Kristee, and Derrick (significant other Ashley). Codie is also a brother to his five siblings, Wayne (wife Susie), Sandra (husband Bob), Samara (husband Tom), Kathy (husband Larry) and Jay. Codie is also a proud grandpa to his five grandchildren, Madelynne, Evan, Austin, Codie and Lydia; and an uncle to several nieces and nephews.

Codie graduated from Libery High School in 1984 and soon after enlisted into the United States Marine Corps, where he served from May 1984-April 1988.

Codie was active in his faith at Orrick Christian Church, where he worshiped with loved ones and friends. Codie also loved spending time with his family, practicing his faith, camping, watching wrestling with his grandson, and spending time with his animals.

Codie’s spirit continues through his wife, mother, four surviving children, five grandchildren, five brothers and sisters, and his family and friends.
