July 12, 1940 – August 19, 2012

Robert Wayne “Bob” Spor, 72 of rural Orrick, Mo., passed away Sunday afternoon August 19, 2012 at Liberty Hospital.

Bob was born in Kansas City, Mo., on July 12, 1940 to Harvey and Marjorie (Masters) Spor. He was a lifelong area resident. He attended Excelsior Springs High School and graduated with the class of 1957. On June 4, 1961, he was united in marriage at Union Baptist Church to Dianna Keltner. She preceded him in death on October 4, 2011. Bob was a farmer and farmed all his adult life.

He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and the National Rifle Association.

Besides his wife Dianna, Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Roger Spor on April 16, 2006.

Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Stephen B. Spor and wife, Shelly of Orrick, Mo.; a sister, Betty Sue Yack of Missouri City, Mo.; six grandchildren, Nichole Marie Spor, Shelby Leann Spor, Dakota Eugene Spor, Shelby Dawn Spor, Shance Allen Spor and Clorissa Kay Holt-Spor, all of Orrick, Mo.; and great granddaughter, Kyndall Faye Vick of Orrick, Mo.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, August 24, 2012 at the Gowing Funeral Home in Orrick. Memorial services will follow at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Inurnment will be private at Missouri City Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to The Country Store near Warrensburg, Mo.
