March 10, 1960 ~ March 14, 2022

Vinetta Ann (Loyd) Garnett, 62, of Orrick, MO, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022 at Ray County Memorial Hospital. Vinetta was born on March 10, 1960 in Kansas City, MO, to William Eldred and Betty JoAnn (Huffman) Loyd. Vinetta worked and retired from Commerce Bank in downtown Kansas City.  Vinetta was united in marriage on July 3, 1989 to Robert “Bob” Garnett, of nearly 23 years where she nick named herself the “Evil Wicked Step-Mother”, he preceded her in death.

Vinetta is also preceded in death by her loving parents and her big brother, Joseph Loyd.

Vinetta loved traveling, fishing, riding her bike, quilting and being with her many, many friends that she made while doing the things she loved.

Survivors include her loving companion, Donnie Wilson of the home; the “Good Child” Susanne Mathews of Florence, MO, the “Lost Child” Darin Savage of Warrensburg, MO, and the “Wild Child” Tammy Garnett of Centerview, MO; 10 grandchildren, Amanda (Josh) Jeffers, Brandon (Amber) Wilson, Trevor Mathews, Mason Mathews, Anthony Savage, Ashton Savage, Austin Savage, Jayme Savage, Zachery Parcel and Haley Parcel.

Visitation will be at 2:00 p.m. with Memorial Services following at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Gowing Funeral Home in Orrick, MO.

Many great memories of Vinetta and Bob. Was saddened to hear of her passing just days after wishing her a happy birthday. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and extended motorcycle family. Let your memories give you comfort in this time of sadness. Rest well Vinetta.
