Ruth Ann “Ruthie” Inks, 59 of Orrick, Mo., passed away Wednesday evening at her home in Orrick surrounded by her loving family.

Ruthie was born on May 17, 1952 in Richmond, MO, to William E. Hicks and Lilly (Long) Hicks. She was born and raised around Richmond and was a graduate of Richmond High School with the class of 1970. She moved to the Orrick area in 1977. She was united in marriage on December 20, 1969 to Everett “Butch” Inks. She had been employed as a desk clerk and night auditor for the Super 8 motel in Richmond for 13 years.

Ruthie liked to cook for her family and loved family reunions and gatherings. She loved and enjoyed her sons and her grandchildren. Ruthie liked and enjoyed people of all kinds. She was a special wife, mother and grandmother and a caring person for all others.

Ruthie was preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her husband, Everett “Butch” Inks of the home. Her sons; Kelly Inks and wife Kelly of Orrick, Mo., and Billy Inks and wife Rachel of Richmond, Mo. Her mother, Lilly Hicks, a brother, Garry Hicks and sister Kathy Mallott all of Houston, Tx. Her grandchildren, Collin Inks, Mara Inks, Carly and Brendyn.

The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening, December 2, 2011 at the Gowing Funeral Home in Orrick.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Orrick with Rev. Beth Warren and Rev. Ken Warren officiating. Burial will be in Richmond Memory Gardens, Richmond, MO.
