Richard Alan “Rick” Boles, 63, of Orrick, Mo., passed away Friday, May 3, 2019 at the Liberty Hospital. Rick was born on August 11, 1955 in Leon, Iowa, to Floyd Eugene Boles and Ruth Evelyn (Fenton) Boles. Rick had served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked as an over the road truck driver for ACT Freight Company. He later worked as an air conditioner steam cleaner and had also worked in several automobile body shops before he retired in 2009.

He was united in marriage to Paula J. Thomas on August 17, 1991. Rick and Paula made their home in Orrick, Mo. Rick loved his old cars and riding his motorcycle. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and his friends.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Paula J. Boles, where they created a life together in Orrick; sons, Kevin Clevenger and wife, Stephanie of Blue Springs, Mo., Kendrick Rogers and wife, Amanda of Excelsior Springs, Mo., Brian Boles of Osceola, Iowa, and Randy Boles of Austin, Texas; daughter, Rita Waters and husband, John of Houston, Texas; brother, Jerry Boles and wife, Cheryl of New Virginia, Iowa; sisters, Rhonda Kirkpatrick of Des Moines, Iowa, and Pam Boles of Indianola, Iowa; his grandchildren, Casey, Stacie, Kallie, Kinley, Kayden, Remington, Brianna, Nick and Aaron.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gowing Funeral Home in Orrick, Mo. Cremation will follow the visitation with inurnment at a later date.
