Muriel Martha Curry, 87, of Orrick, Mo., passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at North Kansas City Hospital. Muriel was born on October 13, 1933 in Moulton, Iowa, to Wilford Stansberry and Lucy Elizabeth (Wade) Stansberry. On November 6, 1953, she was united in marriage to Floyd Emmitt (F.E.) Curry. Following their marriage, they made their home in Orrick, Mo. Muriel was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and besides being a homemaker, she had worked as a cook for a number of years at the Orrick Schools.

She liked reading and cooking. She liked having family gatherings and going shopping and going to garage sales.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd Emmitt “F.E.” Curry on August 27, 2014; her daughter, Debra Curry Hewitt in 1992; twin granddaughters, Lexi and Lillie Haddock in 2006; three brothers and one sister.

Muriel is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Tyree Curry and wife, Robin of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; a daughter, Tonya Lynn Graves of Orrick, Mo.; and a sister, Cheryl Holloway of Wisconsin. Also surviving are her six precious grandchildren and one great grandchild.

No visitation is scheduled due to the Covid-19 Virus.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 12 noon at the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery in Richmond, Mo.
