Michael Kent Endsley

March 24, 1952 – February 5, 2012

Michael Kent Endsley, 59, of Independence, Mo., formerly of Orrick, Mo., passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012 at his home.

Mike, as he was better known, was born on March 24, 1952 in Kansas City, Mo., to Walter Thomas Endsley and Betty Ann (Fulte) Endsley.

He grew up in Orrick and attended the schools there and graduated from Orrick High School with the class of 1970. He had worked as a technician for a communications company for a number of years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Orrick.

Mike had a passion for antiques and loved to attend auctions. He also liked to garden and work with plants.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Rose Ann Millsap, and a brother, Thomas “Tommy” Endsley.

Mike is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Jacquelyn MacDougall and husband, Dan, Jenny Eigenrauch and husband, Adam, all of Durham, N.C., Megan Huber and husband, Troy, of Libertyville, Ill., and Michelle Endsley of Kansas City, Mo.; a brother and sister-in-law, Terry Endsley and wife, Marti, of Orrick, Mo.; and a sister and brother-in-law, Susan Jones and husband, Tom, of Excelsior Springs, Mo. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012 at the Gowing Funeral Home in Orrick. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in South Point Cemetery near Orrick.

Memorials are suggested to the Orrick Fire and Rescue Squad.
