Mary Lou Dailey

July 25, 1916 – March 4, 2012

Mary Lou Dailey, 95, of Richmond, formerly of Camden, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012 at 9:25 p.m. at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.

Mary Lou was born on July 25, 1916 in Richmond, Mo., to Clarence and Nellie (Claypole) Cline. She was a lifelong Ray County resident. Mary Lou was united in marriage on October 19, 1935 to George E. Dailey, who preceded her in death on November 19, 1987.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Camden Baptist Church and the Rebekah Lodge in Camden. Mary Lou loved gardening and doing yard work and tending to her flowers she grew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George E. Dailey; three brothers, George, Clarence “Bub”, and Billy; and three sisters, Annie, Nellie, and Elsie.

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Anna L. Crossley of Gladstone, Mo., Carolyn S. Arney and husband, Tom, of Shallotte, N.C., and Sharon K. Pence and husband, William, of Camden, Mo.; a brother, John Cline of the state of Washington; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mary Lou will be cremated with a private inurnment in Craven Cemetery in Camden. A public memorial service will be announced at a later date.
