Marie Jean Caldwell, 87, of Independence, formerly of Stockton, Mo., and Orrick, Mo., passed away on January 23, 2019 at her home. Marie was born in Hunter, North Dakota to Lloyd Bloom and Emma Myrtle (Moen) Bloom on November 11, 1931. She was married to Robert B. Caldwell and they made their home in Stockton, Mo. Marie had lived in Stockton, Mo., for a number of years and left Stockton in 2012, following the death of her husband.
She had worked as an accountant for the Roma Bakery Co. in Kansas City for a number of years. She also had worked as a tax accountant and preparer for a tax preparation company. She later worked as a sales associate with J.C. Penney Co. While living in Stockton, she often worked as an election judge for many years. She was a 50 year sober AA member. She was a member of the St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Stockton and after moving to Independence, she attended the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Independence. Marie loved to fish and camp and enjoyed most anything that was done outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Caldwell in January of 2012; two sisters, Ina Brady and Betty Baldwin; and two brothers, Ray Bloom and Gary Bloom.
Surviving Marie are her children, Robert Stockton and wife, Joyce of Orrick, Mo., Andrew Stockton of Peoria, Ariz.; step-daughter, Linda Caldwell of Eureka Springs, Ark., and a daughter-in-law, Sharon Caldwell of Prattsville, Ark.; and a sister, Audrey Sparks of Stockton, Mo. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Marie is to be cremated. No services are scheduled at this time.
