Lottie Elizabeth Loyd, 97, of Richmond, MO, formerly of Orrick, MO, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025 at the Oak Ridge Assisted Living Center in Richmond, MO, surrounded by her loving daugthers.

Lottie was born on August 8, 1927 in Orrick, MO, to A.G. Hagman and Lottie Anna (Stehwien) Hagman. Lottie attended school in Orrick. On June 8, 1948 Lottie was united in marriage to Darrel Loyd. Three wonderful daughters were born unto this union, Trudy, Pam and Paula. Darrel and Lottie opened Loyds General Merchandise Store in Orrick in 1960 and they operated it for 17 years before selling the business in 1977.

Lottie was a member of the Orrick Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Chapter in Orrick. She loved to quilt and belonged to two Quilt Clubs. She also loved to bowl. Lottie liked to sew and paint and she loved gardening. She also liked stained glass.

Lottie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Darrel Loyd in 2012; her brother, Paul Hagman; sisters, Bertha Hicks and Anna Patterson; and grandson, Todd Gaines.

Survivors include her three daughters, Trudy Gaines (Harold), Pamela Goode (Richard), and Paula Griffin (Marvin), all of Orrick, MO; a sister, Marilyn Woods of Overland Park, KS; her loving grandchildren, Karen McGlothlin (Darren), Michael Rimmer, Sylvia Cook (Joe), Tamara Goode (Jamie Taylor), Adam Goode, Addison Griffin, and Cali Griffin. Also surviving are 11 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 10, 2025 at the Orrick Methodist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at the church with the Rev. Bob Sanders officiating. Lottie will be laid to rest next to her husband in South Point Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to be given to either the Orrick Methodist Church or Ray County Hospice.
