Lola Lee Easley, 95, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, February 12, 2026, at The Gardens at Barry Road Memory Care Unit in Kansas City, Missouri.
Lola was born on October 13, 1930, in Gravette, Arkansas to Thomas Ben and Mary Velma January. She was raised in the Gravette, AR area and graduated from Gravette High School. On November 6, 1948, she was united in marriage to her husband of 63 years, Edgar Lee Easley, known to most as Lee. Shortly after, in 1949, they moved to the old northeast area of Kansas City and remained there until they moved to Orrick in 1987.
Lola was a lifelong homemaker who was totally focused on her family. While taking care of the family, she also assisted her husband Lee in his various businesses throughout the years such as a full-service gas station, auto parts company and an automobile sales company. She was Baptist by faith and attended Centropolis Baptist Church in Kansas City for many years and later would attend the First Baptist Church of Orrick after moving to the area. In her free time, you could find Lola crocheting, collecting jewelry and antiques, enjoying her dogs, and in later years you could find Lola dressed in orange, representing her love for the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
Lola was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mary; her husband, Lee; and two brothers, Claude and Thomas January.
Lola is survived by her three sons, Rick Easley (Lema) of Smithville, MO, Jack Easley (Marla) of Stillwater, OK, and Randy Easley (Pam) of Orrick, MO; a sister, Norma Boyer of Neosho, MO; a sister-in-law, June Easley of Pea Ridge, AR; nine grandchildren, Samuel Easley (Angie), Lance Easley (April), Zac Easley (Lisa), Lisa Rogers (Shane), Katie Pino (Nick), Kyle Easley (Laura), MacKenzie Major (Brad), Makayla Barger (Curtis), and Walker Easley (Alayna); and 19 great-grandchildren, Logan Easley, Gabe Easley, Easton Easley, Ty Easley, Hattie Easley, Clayton Easley, Owen Easley, Mason Rogers, Dawson Pino, Victoria Pino, Stephanie Easley, Adam Easley, Madeline Easley, Owen Easley, Reid Major, Crew Major, Luke Major, Ella Barger and Oliver Easley.
The family will greet friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Gowing Funeral Home in Orrick. Graveside service and inurnment will immediately follow at Southpoint Cemetery, just east of Orrick. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial be given to the Ray County Humane Society in care of Gowing Funeral Home: PO Box 169, Orrick, MO 64077.
