Linda Ann Barker, 84, of Missouri City, MO, passed away on
Tuesday morning, December 17, 2019 at the Excelsior Springs
Nursing and Rehab Center in Excelsior Springs, MO, following a
brief illness.
Linda was born on April 18, 1935 in Leevale, West Virginia, to
Benjamin Webb and Lula (Collins) Webb. She moved to the Missouri
City area in 1962, where she settled and made her home.
Linda enjoyed being a caretaker, she would offer a hand to anyone
that needed help. Didn’t matter if they were family, friends or
strangers, she was there to help out when she could. She also
enjoyed crocheting, working in the yard. Linda liked to voice
her opinion, whether you asked for it or not. She especially
loved family gatherings. Linda was a Christian and loved the
Lord. She was a very selfless person who had and loved many
friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Arlie Barker;
brothers, Jessie Webb and Woodie Webb; and sisters, Mary
McNelly and Ora Sutphin.
Linda is survived by a son, Timmie L. Barker and wife, Stephanie
of Richmond, MO; a daughter, Nellie A. McClellan of Liberty,
MO; brothers, Noal Webb of Sylvester, W.V., and Benny Webb
also of Sylvester, W.V.; sisters, Joyce Estep of Missouri City,
MO, and Rosie Webb of Excelsior Springs, MO.
Linda is also survived by a multitude of grandchildren and
great grandchildren, of which she dearly loved.
Visitation will be Friday, December 20, 2019 from 1 to
2 p.m. at Gowing Funeral Home in Orrick. Funeral services
will immediately follow at 2 p.m., also at the funeral home.
Burial will be in South Point Cemetery near Orrick, MO.
