John Allen Lee, 91, passed away at the home on April 15, 2019. John was born October 24, 1927 in Orrick, Mo., to William M. Lee and Winnie (Rimmer) Lee and lived there almost all of his life. He attended Orrick schools and later married Mary Jo Long on March 10, 1950. He worked many places, retiring from Ford Motor Co. in 1988 after 35 years. He was a member of UAW Local 249, a member of Orrick Christian Church, an Elder Emeritus and a board member of the South Point Cemetery association for many years.

His favorite things to do were playing golf, playing his guitar and singing with his son, Darrell. He enjoyed talking to anyone about the history of Orrick.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years of the home; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Darrell Allen (Cindy) Lee, Excelsior Springs, Mo., and David Joe (Sheila) Lee, Liberty, Mo.; granddaughter, Emily (Jordan) Martinetti; grandson, William (Ashley) Lee; two sister-in-laws, Jean Stonner, Richmond, Mo., and Sue Marshall, Carrollton, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; three sisters, Ruby Greer, Irene Brown, and Betty Ping; and a grandson, John Allen Lee.

Visitation is Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. and a Celebration of Life at 2:30 p.m. at Gowing Funeral Home in Orrick, Mo. Memorials to South Point Cemetery.
