Gwendolyn Sue Rogers, 75, of Warsaw, Mo., formerly of Orrick, Mo., passed away Monday, December 18, 2023 at her home in Warsaw with her family by her side.

Gwendolyn was born on June 9, 1948 in Excelsior Springs, Mo., to Dale Gene Richardson and Beulah F. (Barrett) Richardson. Gwendolyn attended schools in Orrick and graduated from Orrick High School with the class of 1966.

On September 22, 1969, Gwendolyn was united in marriage to Jacob Rogers. Jacob survives at the home.

Gwendolyn was not only a housewife and mother, she had worked as a supervisor for Vocational Services in Liberty, Mo. She had also worked for Whittaker Cable Corporation in Excelsior Springs, Mo.

Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Dale Gene and Beulah “Boots” Richardson; brothers, Johnnie Richardson and Jimmie Richardson; and a baby sister, Kimberly Anne Richardson.

Gwendolyn is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jacob Rogers of the home in Warsaw, Mo.; two sons, Chad Rogers (Jeanene) of Excelsior Springs, Mo., and Todd Rogers (Sonetta) of Orrick, Mo.; one brother, Danny Richardson (Terry) of Hubbard, Texas; and one sister, Ginger Brammer (Roger) of Independence, Mo.; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Also surviving  is Gwendolyn’s loving dog, Dudley.

Memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Gowing Funeral Home in Orrick, Mo. Immediately following the visitation, the Memorial service for Gwendolyn will commence at 2:30 p.m., with Mr. Mike Hartwick officiating.
