Everett “Butch” Inks, 66 of Orrick, Mo., passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center In Richmond, Mo., surrounded by his family.
Butch, as he was best know, was born on July 21, 1951 in Bethany, Mo., to Donnie LeRoy Inks and Bertha Elaine (Nickerson) Inks. Butch was raised in Bethany, Mo., and attended schools there until he moved to Orrick 51 years ago. He worked for many years at Missouri Portland Cement Company at Sugar Creek, Mo. He then worked as a laborer for the Luman Offuitt farms in Orrick for a number of years. His last job was as a carpenter building houses for Gary Werle Construction Co. of Orrick.
Butch liked working on cars. He and his wife love to go to stock car races. He liked camping and especially liked family gatherings.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Ruth Ann Inks on November 30, 2011.
Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-laws, Kelly Inks and wife, Kelly of Orrick, Mo., and Billy Inks and wife, Rachael of Richmond, Mo.; three sisters, Helen Smith and husband, Jerry of Fleming, Mo., Evelyn Johnston and husband, Ronnie of Hatfield, Mo., and Julie Schrodt of Bedford, Iowa; four grandchildren, Collin Inks and Mara Inks, both of Orrick, Mo., Brendyn Inks of Richmond, Mo., and Carly Hudson of Independence, Mo.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Gowing Funeral Home in Orrick.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Gowing Funeral Home in Orrick with Pastor Beth Waters Warren officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond Memory Gardens in Richmond, Mo.
