Dorothy Irene Barber, 85, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 at NorthCare Hospice House. Dorothy was born April 14, 1928 in Oklahoma to Lee and Elizabeth Lewis.

She was united in marriage to Clarence Barber, who preceded her in death in 2006. She had lived the past 50 years in Kansas City, Mo. Before moving to Kansas City, she had lived in Chetopa, Kans. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Mark Barber, and a daughter, Clara Huff, both in 2012, and a brother, Lee Lewis.

Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Barber of Kansas City, Mo., five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday with funeral services at 2 p.m. at the Gowing Funeral Home in Orrick, Mo. Burial will follow in Lewis Cemetery, Northeast of Orrick.
