Cheryl Kay Heady, 62, of Orrick, Mo., passed away peacefully in her home and went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 5, 2020. She was born on July 18, 1958 in Pekin, Ill. to Raymond Roy Layne and Anna LaVerne (Houston) Layne. She was united in marriage to Timothy S. Heady, Sr., on May 5, 1989 at First Christian Church in Pekin, Ill.
Cheri worked as a Software Developer for H&R Block for many years before retiring in 2018.
She and her husband, Tim, owned Fubblers Cove Restaurant in Orrick for 22 years. Cheri loved music, ALL things Kansas City Royals, playing cards with her husband, spending time with her grandchildren, had a knack for decorating and was an excellent cook. She was a member of Orrick Christian Church.
Cheri is survived by her husband, Tim; children, Rob Smith of Richmond, Mo., Melissa (Dustin) Dingledine of Carlock, Ill., Jeni (Derek) Combs of Richmond, Mo., Timothy (Misty) Heady, Jr. of Pekin, Ill., Kaylee (Alex) Stockton of Richmond, Mo., and Adam (Haley) Heady of Pekin, Ill.; grandchildren, Ashlin (Brandon) Preston, Lynnde, Chanler, Isis, Drew, Molly, Melissa, and Lyla; and great granddaughter, Scarilett; siblings, Debra (Paul) Dowl, Carol Fleming, Donald Trenholm, Lisa (Scott) Clifton and Christy (Frank) Schmall.
Cheri was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Linda Nance; and one brother, Randy Trenholm; and three nephews.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2020 at Gowing Funeral Home in Orrick, Mo. Graveside funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Friday at South Point near Orrick.
