Charles “Shorty” Kincaid, 41, of Orrick, died Sunday, October 9, 2011 near Orrick.
Charles was born in Excelsior Springs, Mo., on January 10, 1970 to Jerry and Helen (Nelson) Kincaid. He had lived most of his life in this area and was a 1989 graduate of Excelsior Springs High School. On November 8, 1996, he was united in marriage to Sheryl Silkwood. Charles was currently employed as a dismantling specialist for Late Model Auto Parts in Kansas City, where he had worked for the past four years.
Shorty as he was best known by most everyone, had a fondness for demolition derbys, working on cars and trucks and riding motorcycles. He also liked playing pool and spending time with his kids and grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Kincaid in 2010.
Survivors include his wife, Sheryl Kincaid of the home; sons, Charles Cody Kincaid and J.D. Kincaid, both of the home, and Jeff Cochran of Marshall, Mo.; daughters, Crystal Kincaid, and Tiffany Brown and husband, Christopher, all of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; his mother, Helen Harris of Richmond, Mo.; brother, Michael Harris of Richmond, Mo.; sister, Tammy Morrison of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; three grandsons and a granddaughter.
The family will greet friends at the Gowing Funeral Home in Orrick from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2011. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Gowing Funeral Home, burial in South Point Cemetery near Orrick.
Memorials are suggested to the Charles Kincaid Memorial Fund, payable to Sheryl Kincaid.
