1953 – 2008
Arlie Allen Barker passed away on June 25, 2008 at St. John’s Mercy Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri. He was 54 years old. Arlie was born on September 11, 1953 in Sylvester, West Virginia, the son of Arlie and Linda Ann (Webb) Barker. He was a member of the Missouri City Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army where he served his country during the Viet Nam War. He loved to go fishing, camping, and hunting and loved to be outdoors.
Arlie is survived by his mother, Linda Ann Barker, of the home in Missouri City, MO. He is also survived by his children, Trinedy Allen Barker, Kansas City, MO; Shane Allen Barker, Richmond, MO; Kelly Ray Barker, Kansas City, MO; Meshelle Dawn (Shaw) Davis, Topeka, KS; Christina Lynn (Shaw) White, Cole Camp, MO; and Amy Jo (Barker) Dahlstron, Kansas City, MO. Arlie is survived by one brother, Timmie Lee Barker of Richmond, MO and one sister, Nellie McClellan of Missouri City, MO. He leaves behind fourteen grandchildren.
Arlie was preceded in death by his father, Arlie Barker; and his wife, Joan (Hake) Barker.
It was the Family’s desire that Memorial Services for Arlie be held on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 12:00 PM at the Missouri City Baptist Church, Missouri City, MO.
Inurnment South Point Cemetery, Rural Orrick, Missouri
The Family has suggested that Memorial Contributions be made to – Missouri City Baptist Church Building Fund.
