Septemer 28, 1946 – January 1, 2011

Allen Keath Lee Sr, 64, of Fleming passed away at his home in the early morning hours of January 1, 2011.  Allen was born September 28, 1946 to Benjamin and Veda (Butler) Lee in St. Joseph, Mo.  Allen moved to Oklahoma in the early 70’s. He worked for Grant County Oklahoma till the early 80’s. He then moved back to Missouri were he lived the rest of his life.

Allen enjoyed fishing, but going noodling was his favorite. He enjoyed hunting, camping, dancing and being with his family. He liked drinking Wild Turkey and having coffee and a cigarette with Lady and Rastiss.  Allen was the type of person who was willing to help anyone who needed it.

He is survived by his children, Allen Keith Lee Jr and wife, Sharon, of Stockton, Mo., Mark Lee and wife, Patricia, of Richmond, Mo., David Lee of Fleming, Mo., Christopher Lee and wife, Brooke, of Cameron, Mo., Curtis Lee of Cameron, Mo., step-daughter, Lisa Rowland of Texas, and step-son, Vernon Rose Jr.; 12 grandchildren and 15 step-grandchildren; his brother, John Lee and wife, Phyllis, of Fleming, Mo.; sisters, Barbara Green and husband, Jim, of Orrick, Mo., Jessie Robinson of Excelsior Springs, Mo., Teresa Twyman and husband, Tom, of Hardin, Mo.; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Lee; his mother and father; one brother, Earl Franklin Lee; one sister, Bernice Lucile Lee; two step-daughters Nellie Harris and Amy Heldon; and one step-granddaughter, Jeannie Gholson.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Fleming Baptist Church on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 1 p.m., with graveside service following at South Point Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to the Allen Lee Memorial Fund in c/o his family.
