Sandra Lee Franklin

December 2, 1945 – August 27, 2009

Sandra Lee Franklin, 63, of Orrick, Mo., passed away Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond, Mo.

Sandra was born on December 2, 1945 in Sault St. Marie, Mich., to Keith Headley and Lillie (Carter) Headley. Sandra moved to Orrick in 1984 from Chenoa, Ill. She had been a production worker at a Bindery company before her retirement.

Sandra enjoyed cross stitching, crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, reading, listening to music and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed time spent with her grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Scott Franklin on November 6, 2008.

Survivors include her son, Jim Lemmons of Orrick, Mo.; three brothers, Ronald Carter of Pontiac, Ill., Richard Headley of Willis, Texas, and Dale Carter of Orrick, Mo.; one sister, Marcia Baum of Bloomington, Ill.; and her precious grandson, Adam Lemmons of Orrick, Mo.

The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at the Gowing Funeral Home in Orrick. Cremation to follow with private graveside and inurnment at a later date at the Chenoa Cemetery, Chenoa, Ill.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Salvation Army.
